Stripe charges users / merchants on a pay-as-you-go basis. There are no setup fees, monthly fees, or other hidden fees.

Payment by Credit Card and Debit Card

  • For Hong Kong, it supports Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express and UnionPay
  • Transaction fee is 3.4% + HKD $2.35 per successful card charge
  • OR 3.4% + USD $0.3 per successful card charge if payment is settled in USD
  • A 2% currency conversion charge applies if required

Mobile Phone Wallets

  • Supports Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • Transaction fee is 3.4% + HKD $2.35 per successful transaction
  • A 2% currency conversion charge applies if required

Chinese Wallets

  • Supports Alipay China and WeChat Pay China
  • Transaction fee is 2.2% + HKD $2
  • AlipayHK and WeChat Pay HK are not supported

Refunds are available in Stripe. However, the transaction fee will not be returned to the merchant once the transaction is made — in other words, the merchant bears the transaction fee even if the transaction is refunded or cancelled.
