The Client

Sing Wai Motors is a retail auto dealer with a long history in Hong Kong. Currently, they specialize in selling the top-tier luxury cars, such as Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati and Porsche.

The company has been using only traditional channels, e.g. magazines, online forums, to reach their audience for more than a decade. In 2012, the marketing director of the company, Mr. Chui, decided to start their website and integrate with social media.

Requirement

Sing Wai Motors asked for a website which their staff can handle to enhance their sales and marketing. They would like display their car inventories online and write articles on industry updates and company updates.

They hope that their staff can update the website easily and their potential customers can navigate their car inventories with a user-friendly web design.

Adopted Solution

Website
The website adopted the WordPress Content Management System as the backend. Adding car inventories to the website has made very simple. New cars are posted on the website with just these few simple steps —- Create a new listing, input car model specifications, upload car images, select the car listing category, submit and done.

Design
The Home page contains a banner area to exhibit the featured car models one-by-one. In the Show Room page, visitors are able to check out all the current stock, and look for the right cars for themselves.

To improve the user experience, a draggable filter has been used on the showroom page to raise the efficiency in searching. Also, the showroom page is also equipped with car model comparison function.

Social Media
Facebook page was opened to share interesting and latest news in the automobile industry. The posts are also linked back to the website to direct traffic.

Outcome

Sing Wai Motors loved the design. The website got an “Average Visit Duration” of 6 minutes, an exceptionally good result compared to other similar websites.
